Victoria Esquivel is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate (LPC-A). She received her B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice from Texas A & M International University (TAMIU). She is also a graduate from the TAMIU Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology program. Her previous experience includes working with children, adolescents, families, and adults concerning issues of anxiety, depression, grief, anger management, self-esteem, self-harm, trauma, and abuse.
Victoria is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), as well as Adult and Youth Mental Health First Aid. Previously, she has held psychoeducational groups focused on dating and relationship violence and provided parent sessions focused on the effects of trauma on children and adults.
Victoria believes that individuals are capable of change within themselves. Her goal is to help individuals improve their mental health by providing emotional support, acceptance, and a safe space in which to express themselves, while also maintaining a solution-focused orientation. She is an advocate for self-care, and enjoys creativity, art, pets, plants, reading, and creating meaningful connections with those around her.
