LPC-Associate (Supervised by Amanda Ramirez, LPC-S)
Therapy is a place to welcome the most vulnerable parts of ourselves; a place to heal, a place to grow, and a place to be as we are. I believe that with acceptance, compassion, and authenticity from healthy social support, human beings have the capacity to develop a growth mindset and discover their inner strength. My experiences as an individual, a dancer and a mental health professional have taught me that the relationship between mind, body, and spirit is integrative in holistically assessing our state of being and I hope to utilize these interconnected entities in helping clients find their unique path towards healing. We are our toolkits for resilience and self-actualization.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Child Learning and Development from University of Texas at Dallas and my Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of Houston - Main Campus. I have counseled individuals experiencing challenges with anxiety, stress and trauma, grief and loss, and sense of self (i.e. self-worth, self-confidence, and self-acceptance). I tend to utilize person-centered therapy while incorporating psychoeducation and mindfulness techniques.
As forms of self-care, I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends, exploring new places and trying different food, dancing, reading, baking and cooking, and allocating time for self-reflection. :)
