Therapy is the process of working through daily challenges and attempting to develop positive thinking and coping skills to travel this journey called life. Although you may not control all the events that happen to you, you can decide not be reduced by them. The therapeutic process facilitates change in your thoughts, actions, and feelings. Together we will work to create a safe space for you and your loved ones while establishing skills needed to bring stability and balance back into your life. Something is happening in your life journey, which caused you to seek assistance, insight and guidance. Whatever it is that has brought you here, I am truly grateful to assist with your emotion management.
Kimberley’s therapeutic process as an integrative therapist will utilize a variety of counseling approaches to customize your experience and help you reach your goals. Her counseling techniques widely range across several approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, the process of altering thoughts, feelings, and actions; Solution Focused Therapy, placing focus on a person's present and future circumstances and goals rather than past experiences, Person Centered Therapy, belief that every human being strives for and has the capacity to fulfill his or her own potential, and many more that fit your current need.
Her goal as your therapist is to help you navigate through life in a judgement free zone. Kimberley’s focus includes but are not limited to anxiety, depression, anger management, stress management, marital issues, and family relationships.
Kimberley received her Master’s degree in Counseling and Education from Prairie View A&M University in 2010 and 2006, and her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Texas Women’s University in 2000.
