If you are reading this, congratulations on taking your first small step—the first of many. While on the path to learning how to be a better version of ourselves, it's important that we recognize the small steps. We are always told about the big and bold steps, but never the small ones. Not really recognizing that the small steps lead to the big ones. No longer will we be paralyzed by the thought of taking big steps if we take the small ones. I am here to take the small steps with you and watch them compound.
I am currently a graduate student pursuing a Master of Education in Counseling at the University of Houston - Main Campus. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Stephen F. Austin State University. I have enjoyed providing group and individual counseling with those who are experiencing challenges with stress, anxiety, and a sense of self (self-worth, self-confidence, and self-acceptance). My therapeutic approach is to provide practical feedback and support using person-centered therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy, while incorporating mindfulness techniques with a splash of humor.
I am currently an educator and enjoy spending time with friends and family, watching Youtube, making new experiences, travelling, listening to music, and trying new food places.
