Ana’s goal is to provide empathy and a sense of understanding and acceptance to everyone she meets. She believes that everyone is deserving of feeling seen, heard, and accepted in a safe, comfortable place where they may experience personal/professional healing and growth.
Life can throw some big punches at times leaving us feeling stuck and alone with bruises and open wounds. However, there is hope for a better tomorrow beginning with the choices we make today. The choice to begin counseling is where that hope can be focused on and Ana believes that choosing counseling and, with that, giving yourself the opportunity to grow, is one of the bravest things a person can ever do. Ana understands that the path toward healing and growth is not an easy one, but she also believes that no path in life is easy. So why not choose one that is rewarding and life-giving? It is this understanding that gives Ana the confidence that she can provide a safe, comfortable place for clients to reflect upon their current struggles, focus on their strengths, and learn healthy coping strategies so as to become empowered in their own identity. Through a relationship based on trust and respect, the process of healing and growth begins with a client-centered approach on a path upon which Ana walks alongside the client who leads the way.
As a military spouse, Ana is familiar with struggles that accompany life both as a civilian and within the military community and the toll that the military culture can have upon family members. Ana is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate approved by the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council, Lic. No. 86671. She is a graduate of Liberty University Online where she earned her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty’s CACREP accredited graduate program. Also from Liberty University Online, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a concentration in Military Resilience with hopes of serving her country by first serving those who defend it and their loved ones.
