Alicia is an encouraging and passionate counselor who finds joy empowering others who have the vision to focus on newfound strengths, accomplishments, and successes in their life. Alicia is dedicated to working with adolescents, adults, and couples to help assist with a variety of issues related to the mental well-being, including depression, self-esteem, anger management, substance abuse, anxiety, and insomnia.
Alicia is a Licensed Professional Counselor approved by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Licensed Professional Counselors (No. 71364.) She is a graduate of Delta State University with a B.A. in Psychology and M.S. in Clinical Mental Health from a CACREP accredited program, Mississippi State University. Alicia is currently a doctoral candidate at Walden University (CACREP accredited program) majoring in Counseling Education and Supervision. Alicia has experience working as a mental health therapist for the Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD where she provides therapy to the incarcerated population. Alicia is also a National Certified Counselor with experience working with sex offenders, youth at risk, substance abuse, and marriage and couples.
